The half life period is that it goes half to its current parameter.. for ex 100 ~ 50 in respected time
Here in first 20 sec
Element A will go once and the amount left will be 20 as 40~20
Element B will go twice as its half Life period is 10 sec so 160~80~40
Now in the next 20 sec
Element A will go once and the amount left will be 20~10
Element B will go twice as its half Life period is 10 sec so 40~20~10
Thus 40 seconds

hey friend! here is your answer-

according to question,The half period that when it goes half so it decays.
first 20 sec it will be divided into half.
for A it will be left with 20 sec as 40-20-10 grams
for B it will be 10 sec so 160-80-40 grams
Now for next 20 seconds
for A will be left with 20-10 as it went once.
for B will be left 10 sec so 40-20-10 as it went twice.
so for the answer it will be 40 seconds so 2 ND part.
