What is evaporation?
➾ The process of conversion of any liquid into vapour is called evaporation due to increase in temperature and/or pressure. As the temperature increases, the rate of evaporation also increases and when the temperature decreases the rate of evaporation also decreases.
For example, near the sea coast the temperature is high. So, the rate of evaplartion, there, is high. Whereas in the regions of low temperature, i.e. at higher altitude or towwards the poles, the rate of evaporation is less.

Coming to your question,
Question :- Which one will evaporate first? Water in a saucer or water in a cup.
_____________
Answer :- The water in the saucer will evaporate first. The reason is that the saucer is a wide vessel whereas the cup is straight. The larger surface area, the larger is the rate of evaporation. Whereas, less surface area, the less is the rate of evaporation.
