perimeter of the rectangle = 2( width + height )
shape 1 :
height = 8 m
width = 5m
so the perimeter of shape 1 =
2( 8+5) = 2 * 13 = 26 m
perimeter of the shape 2 =
2 ( 10 + 4 ) = 2 * 14 = 28 m
therefore we can see that the shape 2 has more perimeter than shape 1
