Because,If we put the value of x and y both sides should be equal

(2,1) = -4x +7 =2y -3

-4(2)+7=2(1)-3

-8+7=2-3

-1=-1

It verifies the value because both sides become equal on solving the values.

It means L.H.S=R.H.S

Then putting 2nd value in this equation

(5,-5)= -4(5)+7=2(-5)-3

-20+7= -10-3

-13=-13

So, we can say that both values satisfies in this equation

It means

L.H.S.=R.H.S.
