Answer:

The bile juice is produced by the liver. It is stored in Gall bladder. It has a very crucial function in the digestion of food.

It does not have any enzyme which helps in the digestion but it helps to make the acidic food that comes from the stomach into alkaline.

This helps in two ways.

Firstly, the alkaline food does not affect the walls of small intestine. If the food would not have been converted to alkaline medium, it would have been acidic and would have been affecting the walls of small intestine.

Secondly, the enzymes in pancreatic juice alkaline medium to digest food properly.

Hence, bile helps in this way in the digestion of food.

Fact:- The liver is both an endocrine gland and an exocrine gland. It is an endocrine gland because it produces insulinand glucagon which controls the blood sugar level. Also, it is an exocrine gland because it produces bile juice for digestion.
