Heterotrops are greater in number as autotrophs are only organisms with chlorophyll which helps them produce their food. Autotrops are less in number. As heterotrophs don't have chlorophyll they cannot produce their own food. They have to depend on others for their food. Such types of organisms are larger in number. Hence Heterotrophs are greater in number.
