F is more electronegative than Flourine.
Flourine's electronegativity is 4 while that of Chlorine is less than Flourine.

abcd1234e: flourine is more electronegative than chlorine
rishabh2328: friend in this question we are talking about ELECTRON GAIN ENTHALPY.
rishabh2328: not ELECTRONEGATIVITY

EGE of F= -328

EGE of Cl= -349

In case of group 15, 16, 17 elements, the second element posses high EGE than first element of corresponding group.

Due to the small size of first element of each group, the incoming electron experience more inter electronic repulsions. Due to this, first element has less tendency to gain electron but due to comparatively large size of second element, the incoming electron does not experience in exhibition and release more amount of energy.
