Which part of the alimentary canal is involved in (a) food, (b) killing of bacteria,(c) absorption of food, (d) formation of faeces? In stomach, there are gastric glands- they produce hydrochloric acid which kills the bacteria. Absorption of the food take place in the small intestine.
