The Mitochondria of a plant cell releases energy from the food.

It is a cell organelle and is present in the cytoplasm.

They make most of the essential ATPs (Adenosine Tri Phosphate).

The ATP is the source of energy of a cell.

The main function of Mitochondria is to convert energy.

The cell organelle called as Mitochondria present in plant cell releases energy from food.

Explanation:

It is double membrane structure which is found in the cytoplasm of the cells. It acts as power house of cell as they are involved in production of energy in the form ATP, through cellular respiration process.

The glucose which is synthesized by the plant through photosynthesis is first converted into pyruvate, which is in turn converted into “a compound called Acetyl CoA” by the enzymes present in matrix of mitochondria and reaches series of reaction called Kerb’s cycle, passed into ETC and then ATP is released.
