Assam Himalayas is the name given to a part of the Himalayan mountain range which is situated in the eastern part of the country.

It starts from Eastern border of Bhutan till the Tsangpo river.

Namcha Barwa and Gyala Peri are the two famous main mountain peaks in the Assam Himalayas.

It spreads into our neighbouring country Bhutan, Tibet and other North-eastern states of India.
