In the pitcher plant the leaves are modified into a tube structure and have a sticky liquid at the bottom of the tube. The tube also contains a lot of sensory nerves so when an insect touches the the leaf of the plant the leaf shuts close and the insect gets stuck inside sticky liquid, the insect is then digested
Hope this helps
