Hello Dear,

Your answer is here,

↔↔↔↔↔↔↔↔↔

⇒ During Nuclear Reaction , Neutrons are the only particle which are responsible for triggering nuclear reaction  & a change in the number of protons can change the elements itself.

Reactions are :→

₉₂U²³⁵ + ₀n¹ --------⇒    ₉₂U²³⁶ (unstable)

₉₂U²³⁶ ---------⇒ 3 ₀n¹ + ₃₆Kr⁹² + ₅₆Ba¹⁴¹ + Energy

{ Note- The another isotopes of uranium  ₉₂U²³⁸ can also be used as fuel in nuclear reaction, but the fission of this isotopes can only be possible by the bombardment of the fast moving electrons, whereas the fission of the ₉₂U²³⁵ is possible by both the slow & fast moving neutrons. }

Explanation / Reason →→

 ⇒  When a Neutron of sufficient energy get absorbed in a nucleus, it further leads the nucleus to become unstable , the nuclear force would no longer hold the nucleus intact, so it get integrate into Two lighter nuclei , and by this process some more neutron get released.

⇒ Nuclear fission works by a splitting of atoms neutrons by neutrons which release energy . but the chain reaction is triggered because the nucleus is bonded by a strong Nuclear force.
