Which phylum organisms has Buccal Divertism or stomochord??

The members of phylum Hemichordata shows Buccal Divertism.

It's the outgrowth of gut. Buccal Divertism is also known as Stomochord.

Hemicordates:

  • These animals are fossorial ( lives in burrows)

  • They are Bilaterally Symmetrical

  • Body is Triploblastic

  • Coelomate

  • Their body is Brittle and soft.

  • Their body is devided into three parts:-
  1. Anterior probosis
  2. Collar
  3. Long trunk

  • Organ system level of body organisation.

  • Digestive system is complete

  • Respiration is through Pharyngeal gill slits

  • Heart is dorsal

  • Post anal tail is absent

  • Excretion occurs by single glomerulus
