When the soldiers of Jaya Prakash Malla were about to kill Prithivi Narayan Shah, the citizen of Kritipur denied killing the king. The citizens also set him free and took him Nuwakot safely. Citizens of Dahachok supported Prithivi Narayan Shah to attack Nuwakot. Kalu Pande was made Kaji in approval of citizen.
