Which place has a higher range of temperature_Chennai or Allahabad?give reasons for both.plz tell me answer

Chennai has a higher range of temperature as it is nearer to the equator and as we know that places nearer to the equator receive straight and concentrated sun rays and places far away from the equator like Allahabad receive slanted heat rays which are not much concentrated
