Well the plants from where oil can be obtained are cultivated to obtain fuel .

Groundnuts are a good choice because they particularly are nutritious and are of other benefits like :-

(i) They can be eaten .

(ii) They can be crushed to obtain fodder from residue.

(iii) It helps in crop rotation .

(iv) It helps in the manufacture of soap and margarine .

(v) They provide oil.

However other plants also provide fuel .

The plants that are cultivated to obtain fuel are as follows :-

(i) Soyabean

(ii) Mustard .

(iii) Corn

(iv) Palm ( for palm oil production )

Hence these are very important as :-

(i) They are economical .

(ii) They are environment friendly .
