Which playground is bigger in area and by how much

The first rectangular playground

The length = 50 m

The breadth = 40 m

Its area = lb unit sq  [ in which l is the length and b is the breadth ]

Area = 50 × 40 m sq.

Area = 2000 m sq.

Now,

The second rectangular playground

The length = 75 m

The breadth = 20 m

Its area = lb unit sq  [ in which l is the length and b is the breadth ]

Area = 75 × 20 m sq.

Area = 1500 m sq.

So,

Area of First rectangular playground = 2000 m sq.

Area of second rectangular playground = 1500 m sq.

∴ The area of the first rectangular playground is bigger

by ( 2000 - 1500 ) = 500 m sq.
