Which product is formed when calcium reacts with water ? What is it commonly known as?

Calcium reacts with water briskly to form calcium hydroxide, hydrogen gas and some heat.
The equation could be as follows:-
Ca + 2H2O -----› Ca(OH)2 + H2 + heat

After sometime, the reaction stops because of the accumulation of Calcium hydroxide over calcium metal.
