When CH3CH2CH(F) CH3 is treated with KOH and alcohol, then butene-1 and butene-2 are the product obtained and butene-1 is obtained as major product.

it is E2 dehydrohalogenation reaction of alkyl fluoride and product is least substituted alkene.

In this reaction two type carbanion like transition state is formed

primary carbanion like transition is formed leading to but-1-ene

2. secondary carbanion like transition is formed leading to but-2-ene

secondary carbanion is less stable than primary carbanion and primary carbanion is dominated result but-1-ene is mazor product
