The slope AE represents acceleration.

So, acceleration, a = y₂ - y₁ ÷ x₂ - x₁

                            = (36 - 18) ÷ (20 - 10)

                            = 18/10

                            = 1.8 m/s²

Explanation:

From a V - t graph, slope gives the acceleration and the area gives the displacement.

Here, slope AE gives the acceleration as 1.8m/s². If it was asked to take out the slope OE then also we would get the same answer but taking v₁ and t₁ as 0.
