The following reaction is not affected by change in pressure :

(a) H₂ + I₂ ⇋ 2HI

1. The reason is that , in this reaction moles of reactants = 1+1 = 2 and moles of products = 2.

2. Thus, there is no change in the number of moles in this reaction.

3. Thus, with change of pressure , there will be no change produced in this reaction.
