Shreedhar Mahadev Joshi or S.M. Joshi was an Indian independence activist and a member of the Samajwadi Party. S.M. Joshi proposed a resolution that a Samyukta Maharashtra be formed. He wanted to unite the Marathi speaking regions of India and form a Maratha state that includes Mumbai and Vidarbha.
