Aravalli range has a role because when Ganga enters plain in Uttar Pradesh its takes left turn because on it's right is the Aravalli.
Because of this Yamuna also take left turn.
Indus river divides Ganga and Sindhu and had joined each other and would had been a tributary.
Joined by Alakananda at Devaprayag in Uttarakhand.
