The smell of the flowers are complex mixture of low molecular weight compounds.

The structure, colour and odour plays a vital role in attracting the pollinators to the flower.

Due to the presence of unstable compounds and their relative abundances, movements and interactions of molecules, the smell emitted by the flowers are not same.

The smell attracts the pollinator to attract the particular flower to taste the nectar or pollen.

Answer:

Explanation:

Fragrance spreads in one direction only but the goodness spreads in all directions. The flowers bossom & the good fragrance spreads in the direction of the wind, usually in only one direction in an open space. In a small closed space it is felt all over the room as there is no wind flow or unless a ceiling fan whirls it around but still confined to that room only. But goodness spreads in all directions so fast like a bullet fired from the gun. The fragrance is carried with the speed of the wind which varies according to the atmosphere & seasons. But goodness needs no acceleration of wind & it will not be restricted to one area. The quality spreads mouth to mouth to all the public very fast. Nowadays cell phones, internet, chating etc., takes goodness to millions of miles. Yet the quality will not get diluted. The fragrance of a flower is a temporary phenomenon. It fades away with the time, temparature of the surroundings, dry weather of the time, distance from the source etc., That means the farther the distance from the source the lesser the strength of the fragrance. After the flower whithers & dies, a bad smell is eminated.
