Which seprates terrestrial planets from jovian or gas planets?

And the Jovian planets are made almost entirely of gas. The first half of the planets in the solar system are terrestrial, which are Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars and the second half of the planets in this solar system are gas giants which are known as the Jovian and they are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.Feb 27, 2018

The asteroid belt formed between the first four plants,(I.e.mercury Venus earth and mars) and the next giant planets also known as gas planets(I.e. Jupiter Saturn Uranus Neptune.)
