Ovary is the sex organ which secrets two different kinds of hormones namely, progesterone and oestrogen. Ovary is also said to be as the female sex organ. Similarly, progesterone and oestrogen are known as the female sex hormones.
Progesterone is responsibled for the proper functioning of the menstrual cycle in women. It also performs a vital role in the production of ova and its necessary changing during different phases during the period of 28 days and finally to shed it with blood and some soft tissues. It performs the most necessary function in the process of prgnency of a woman.
Oestrogen is mainly responsible for the process of fertility and occurence of the white discharge in female. As like the progesterone, it also plays a vital role in the process of pregnency of a woman. It is generally responsibled for the growth of different organs and height during the time of puberty. It is also responsibled for he growth of hair from different organs and sweat, specially excessive sweat during the time of puberty, body oudour and acne.
