In 2015, the Indian government banned at least 857 adult content sites and 170 objectional sites. In 2016, Indian government further banned 200 URLs which are providing escort services.
Any person visiting or viewing information from torrent site and blocked URLs in India would be in jail for 3 years with penalty of Rs 3 lakh.
