Hi   Silt particles are from 0.002 to 0.05 mm in diameter. Sand ranges from 0.05 to 2.0 mm. Particles larger than 2.0 mm are called gravel or stones. Most soils contain a mixture of sand, silt and clay in different proportions   Thanks

Sand particles are large sized in its composition.

Explanation:

  • The ‘soil’ is composed of smaller particles. These so called smaller particles are the made from huge rocks of various mineralogy.
  • These soil particles are differed in size, shape and various chemical compositions. There are 3 categories of soil particles namely sand, silt, and clay.
  • They are also termed as soil separates. These three groups are separated based on their sizes.
  • Here ‘clay particles’ are the smallest one and sand particles are the ‘largest one’.
