30 m/s is greater than 30 km/hr.

But why ?

30 m/s means that the object travels 30 metres in one second.

So, in 1 hour (i.e. 60 × 60 = 3600 sec), it will travel

 = 30 \times 3600

 = 108000 \: m

 = 108 \: km

However, with a speed of 30 km/hr, the object will travel only 30 km in 1 hour.

Hence, 30 m/s is a greater speed.
