The Maharashtra government has announced a contest named "Covid-free village" in an effort to encourage the villagers to follow Covid-19 protocols to limit the spread of the virus.
As per a report by ANI, Hasan Mushrif, State Rural Development Minister has informed that an award of Rs 50 lakh will be given to the village which will bag the first position. While, the villages which come second and third will get Rs 25 lakh and Rs 15 lakh respectively
