because maximum number of saline water is present in sea water and oceans

The answer is - Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra and Gujarat are high salinity zones, and Andhra Pradesh,Orissa and West Bengal are moderate salinity zones.
