The following document contains the steps on how to change the computer's date and time in each of the major operating systems, as well as through the CMOS setup. To proceed, select your operating system from the list below and follow the instructions.

Note: If the time and date are resetting each time your computer is powered down, the CMOS battery is bad and needs to be replaced.

Tip: If you are using Windows on a virtual machine, change the date and time on the host machine, not the virtual machine. The virtual machine will get the current date and time information from the host.
