In amoeba, intra cellular digestion takes place. The food is digested inside the vacuole. The digestive enzymes are secreted in food vacuole by the surrounding cytoplasm. These enzymes act on food particles in the food vacuole and break them down into small simpler soluble molecules by chemical reaction
