HERE IS YOUR ANSWER

Geology is the study of the earth. Any kind of study involving the nature of the earth, the formation of the earth, the composition of the earth, the changes in the earth over time and so forth, are ‘subjects of geology’.

Most students of geology begin with basic studies of the composition of the earth: earth’s rocks and minerals, and with the beginnings of understanding of how these formed, and how they change over time. Beginning geologists learn about the rock cycle, plate tectonics, rocks, minerals, weathering, erosion and deposition, and simple paleontology and geologic time.

More advanced students explore deeper into those topics, and some specialize in the chemistry of rocks and minerals, or in geophysics, or the processes of volcanic eruptions, or the study of earthquakes.

Adequate preparation to understand these topics will require basic chemistry, a little physics, and mathematics. Some geometry is useful, as is a knowledge of mapping or surveying. Some branches of geology rely heavily on fluid dynamics, others consider aspects of construction and engineering - geology is a very broad field.
