hello dear friend here's your answer.... the substance formed as anode mud in the refining of copper is..... depends which are the raw materials you use.... ok
now.. if you take copper sulphate solution and impure copper on the cathode..... meanwhile if you pass the current across the solution.. you will notice that impue copper disassoiates and move towards anode as copper has CU+ ions.
therefore... slowly and gradually CU+ions from copper sulphate solution also disassociate to settle on anode a as 99.999 percent pure.....

now... the raw materials which you can use can be gold.. silver and platinum... which after that electrolysis process... falls down in jar and we call it as cathode mud...
