hey mate .... here we have

an = a + ( n-1 ) d. as the formula

( now on putting values we get )

78 = 3 + ( n-1 ) × 5

78-3 = ( n-1 ) × 5

75 ÷ 5 = n-1

15 + 1 = n = 16

** so 78 will be 16th term in the AP
