which term of the AP:2.9,3.2,3.5,.... is 8?

$8 = 2.9 + (n - 1)0.3 \\ (n - 1) .3 = 8 - 2.9 \\ n - 1 = 5.1 \div 0.3 \\ n = 17 + 1 = 18$

anjaligodara2003: actually when i divided 5.1 and 0.3,i wrote 1.7 therefore my n was in decimals

nikke90: No 1.7 is incorrect because, 5.1/0.3 = 51/10/3/10=17
