25th term of an A.P is 101.

There is no term equal to 203.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : An A.P. 5,9,13,17,....

To find : Which term of the A.P is 101? is any term equal to 203 ?

Solution :

Using nth formula of an A.P,

a_n=a+(n-1)d

Here, a_n=101 a term on A.P

a=5 is the first term

d=4 is the common difference

101=5+(n-1)4

(n-1)4=96

n-1=24

n=25

So, 25th term of an A.P is 101.

To get any term equal to 203 is let a_n=203

203=5+(n-1)4

(n-1)4=198

n-1=49.5

n=50.5

This is not possible.

There is no term equal to 203.
