Given A.P :

2,6,10,14,....,82

first term = a = a1 = 2 ,

common difference (d)=a2-a1

= 6 - 2

= 4

It is given that ,

an = 82

=> a +(n-1)d = 82

=> 2 + (n - 1)4 = 82

=> (n-1)4 = 82-2

=> (n-1) = 80/4

=> n - 1 = 20

=> n = 20+1

=> n = 21

Therefore ,

21 th term in A.P = 21
