Amino acids are the building blocks of a bio-molecular structure called protein. The structure of amino acid is comprised of three components:

- An amino group  

- A carboxyl group  

- R group  

The difference in every amino acid is because of the difference of R group whereas the carboxylic and amino group remains constant.
