Being a land of diverse cultures, India has 2 unique social divisions — CASTE and RELIGION. While the early Hindu scriptures have made the caste system mandatory for Indian society to abide by, the Indian government has reserved some provisions for the lower castes' betterment. Also, India accommodates people from various religions, like Hinduism, Islam, Sikhism, Christianity, Buddhism, Jainism, Zoroastrianism and so on, which is why the minority religious communities are provided with some benefits by the government so that they can establish themselves as economically stable individuals.
