N makes three covalent bonds with three Hydrogen and coordinate with one hydrogen ion (H+)to form ammonium ion which is NH4+ which forms an ionic bond with chloride ion to form NH4Cl. Thus it has all the three bonds known as coordinate covalent bond.

Answer:

4 covalent bonds between nitrogen and hydrogen

1 electrovalent bond between chloride ion and ammonium ion.

Explanation:

In order to form ammonium ion, nitrogen makes four covalent bonds with the Hydrogen and form one electrovalent bond between the chloride ion and ammonium ion.

NH4+ and Cl− ions are present in NH4Cl (Ammonium chloride).

Therefore there are total 5 bonds of two types.

4 bonds are covalent bond

4 bonds are covalent bond1 bond is an electrocovalent bond.
