Diploid spermatogonia dividemitotically, yielding one stem cell and a primary spermatocyte. 2. In meiosis I, each primary spermatocyte halves its genetic material to form two haploid

In meiotic division two homologous chromosome separates to halve the chromosome number i.e. diploid to haploid, then daughter chromatids again divide to form haploid gametes.

The secondary spermatocytes separates meiotically to produce two secondary spermatocytes. Then each secondary spermatocyte separates meiotically into two similar haploid spermatids. The spermatids are then converted into spermatozoa (sperm) by the process of spermiogenesis.
