When a person sits near a fire, the heat is transferred by the process of convection. Convection as a transferring method occours when heat is transferred from one body to another body and both the body are made of different materials. Convection is the process of transferring of heat by the bulk movement of molecules which are in the fluids like the liquid and gas. Thus a person gets heated while sitting near a fire.

While being beside campfire, the heat is transmitted by thermal radiations from fire.Heat transfer process is of three different types:radiation, conduction, and convection.

Thermal radiation comprise of electromagnetic waves of which  infrared waves are predominant and visible.

This is  emitted by an object due to its temperature. This radiation conveys energy which is converted to heat when it hits another object and is absorbed.
