Plants that lose the most water through their stomata are ones which grow the fastest. Transpiration of this form is a cost of taking in carbon dioxide, whuch contains the carbon which accouts for most of a plant's mass. Vines and grasses tend to be the fastest growing plants. Bamboo is grass.
Plants can protect against other transpiration with resin. Since we don't get on well with eating plants with a high resin content (except sometimes their fruit), green veg form much of the group of plants which lose water this way. Lettuces, brassicas and herbs often need misting..........hope this will help u..
