Hello Friend !
Paddygrows best in areas that have a long growing season with more extended periods of warmth. Rice grows best in poorly drained (wet) soil in areas where it can get a minimum of 40 days in a row with temperatures over 70 degrees. The soil does not need to be totally flooded during the entire growing season, but it does need to stay as wet as possible.
Hope this helps !!

Clayey soil is good for growing rice because it is a sticky soil that retains water and rice require standing water for its growth.
