Which types kidney is found in reptiles.
Answers
The Mesonephros and Metanephros may both function in neonate reptiles. The Metanephric form becomes the functional adult kidney in reptiles. In amphibians, kidney tubules from the middle to posterior part of the mesonephric ridge form the Opisthonephros in the adult.

Explanation:
The three types of vertebrate kidney. The simple pronephros, here shown already degenerating, is the functional excretory organ of aquatic larvae but is quickly replaced by the mesonephros. Anamniotes retain their mesonephroi as excretory organs in the adult, often connecting them (in males) to the testis to provide a route for sperm to leave the body. In amniotes (reptiles, mammals, and birds), a third type of kidney, the metanephros, forms caudal to the mesonephros and the latter organ then either degenerates completely to becomes adapted to form male genital ducts.
