Upendra Kushwaha, the Union minister of state for HRD launched the NCERT portal which will deliver textbooks to the home. The portal has been created to ensure that the textbooks are available to everyone in the country wherever they live, and that the parents or the schools do not have to worry about the unavailability of books. This initiative has been taken up by NCERT. The person who needs a textbook can visit the website, select the book, pay online and get it delivered at his doorstep.

It ensures better books for the students, parents and schools and informs about unavailability of books.
