Union territory of India:

India has "seven union territories" which enjoy special legal and administrative privileges. Daman and Diu is union territory of India which shares the "Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal". Daman and Diu are two separate places however for an administrative purpose considered one.

The Gulf of Khambat lies between these two regions and separates one from another. Till 1987 Goa too was part of "Daman and Diu", later was divided for administrative purposes. Daman is its capital with over 250000 populations.

Puducherry is the union territory of India which shares the Arabian sea and Bay of Bengal.

Explanation:

Puducherry is split into four districts namely Puducherry, Karaikal, yenam and Mahe. Puducherry and karaikal are located near Tamilnadu along the Bay of Bengal. Yenam is located near Andhra Pradesh along cost of Bay of Bengal, but Mahe is along the cost of Arabian sea near Kerala.

These regions were once under French colonization. They became union territory in the year 1962. Puducherry was formerly known as "Pondicherry". It was renamed in 2006.
