In “The Lost Child” the child wanted many things.  

They are toys and balloons, sweets from the sweet seller, garland of gulmohar, a ride on the roundabout and to watch the snack charmer playing flute when a snake danced to it.  

The boy didn’t stop or waited for any answer because he knew that his parents will not agree for all them.

The child wants everything he sees on his way to fair_toys,flowers,garlands,sweets,balloons,snake-charmer,round-about etc. everytime, he moves ahead without waiting for an answer because he knew very well that his parents would not buy him anything, because perhaps,they were too poor to buy  him anything.
